We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice, so please review it frequently. The date at the bottom of this page indicates when this Policy was last revised. This Policy applies to all information that we have about you, and to your account with us.
If we decide to change this Policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a prominent notice when you log into the Site prior to the change becoming effective.
The Information We Collect
When you visit Mainsail, you provide us with two types of information: A) personal information (such as your name and email address) that you have voluntarily disclosed to us, and B) non-personally identifiable information that is generated when you interact with the Website.
A) Personal Information
When you use Mainsail as a potential coaching client, you may request a consultation with a Mainsail representative or submit information to facilitate coach recommendations for yourself or other members of your organisation. When you use any of the Services offered by Mainsail, we may ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional), location, your goal for hiring a coach, and any additional details that pertain to your request for a coach for yourself or other members of your organisation. After submitting your service request, we contact you to collect more information about your coaching needs and periodically follow-up with you to ensure that we have delivered a high quality service. In all cases, Mainsail stores personal information to track the success of our services.
From time to time, we post testimonials on our Website. We receive permission to post testimonials that include personally identifiable information prior to posting. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We use third parties to provide various services on our behalf such as an email service provider and credit card processor. When you sign up to receive our newsletter we will share your email address with our email service provider. Third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
If Mainsail is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website.
B) Tracking Technologies
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.
Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by Mainsail and our analytics, affiliate, or email partners. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use LSOs such as HTML 5 to collect and store information.
Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.
Third Party Advertising
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
Our third party advertising partner employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a users computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers personally identifiable information.
